We ended up in a wonderful home, three blocks from Wilton Drive. Wilton Drive is the hub of the area with restaurants, bars, clubs, and more within walking distance. Our POD arrived, and in 5+ hours we were furnished and home. Unloading the Motor Coach took a little longer and really didn't get fully cleaned out until March 2018. Mike set about decorating and we are now very comfortable in our (much larger than the "tin can") home! I worked outside de-weeding the front motor court and setting up the patio area for parties! For those that want a snail mail address: 520 NE 25th Drive, Wilton Manors, FL 33305. The first two pics are before and then after. The last two are Ron's Oriental topiaries that he trims every week!
We were all atingle as we crossed the Georgia border and entered Florida. Almost home. But first, a weeklong stay at the famous Sawmill Campground to relax and ponder the long and amazing journey we were about to complete. We stopped at many of the 'gay' campgrounds which were along our route but this is the mac-daddy of them all and always lots of fun.
We both admit to having mixed emotions. Although we don't want the adventure to end, we are, indeed, looking forward to being home with family and friends. We have a great place to move into in the heart of our old neighborhood, Wilton Manors. Our RV will be temporarily parked next to our house while we empty and prepare to sell her. Then we will set out to build/ remodel/ purchase a forever home. But, fear not. THE PARTY NEVER ENDS! See our post on the Future Plans page. We already have many fun trips planned through 2019. |
