Ron has many memories of visiting Lake George as a kid and having fun there with his cousins. His Uncle Bill and Aunt Kathy over the years had the vision to have a summer cottage in Huelett's Landing on the Lake. Many great family gatherings over the years have been enjoyed on that lake. About 5 years ago, cousin Billy and his wife Susie replaced the old cottage with a new (much larger) one, still called Beach Haven. It's a beautiful place for family and friends to enjoy for many more generations.
Cousin Bill & Susie invited us to spend a long weekend on our RV journey to the east. Besides the beautifully appointed and comfortable home, there was also a private dock with both a Pontoon and Ski Boat, Kayak's, Canoes and many more "water 'toys". We ventured out to explore Lake George, taking along a picnic lunch on Saturday. We had a great time with wonderful mountain weather and blue skies.
Sunday morning I paid respects to my aunt and uncle who are buried on the side of the mountain, with cemetery and church, overlooking the cottage and lake. Below is a little history of Beach Haven, the original cottage, cottage with additions, and todays much larger home that sleeps sixteen.
